I'm Mariana, also known as Em, or simply M. My pronouns are she/her or they/them. Heart On is much more than a design + photo studio, it’s my manifesto, my ode to a way of living and working that strives to:
have a positive impact
create with heart, passion and openness
do good work for good people.
Love not money. Heart not hard. People not possessions. Community over competition. This is how I work and how I live.
My love affair with design has been going strong for more than 15 years, working with folx allover these United States, Brazil, and The Netherlands. Originally from sunny Rio de Janeiro, I fell hard for lovely, rainy, dreamy, grey Portland—where I currently live and am available for freelance projects.
